Concerts to return to St Martin-in-the-Fields

For the last few months St Martin-in-the-Fields and the independent ensembles who have been performing concerts in the iconic venue for the last 3 decades, have been working together to find a way to resume musical activity in the church once conditions allow.

59 concerts involving 8 ensembles and over 200 musicians that were due to take place between March and the end of August 2020 were cancelled.  We are delighted to announce that these concerts will now take place later in 2021.  We are thrilled to be working together to bring hope and lift spirits during and after these dark months and we look forward to a brighter future together.

Details of the rescheduled concerts will be released soon.

Notes to Editors

St Martin-in-the-Fields has a proud history of hosting some of London’s most loved live classical

music events.

Ensembles pay a hire fee and a commission on ticket sales to perform in the church.

Some of the ensembles have been performing at St Martin’s for over 30 years.

St Martin-in-the-Fields supports several amateur, voluntary and student vocal ensembles, and one

professional ensemble, St Martin’s Voices.  Some of these groups have continued to perform at St

Martin’s during the pandemic with the concerts being streamed to a global audience.
